Open Positions

Position Term Description
Midget Director 2 years The Midget Director is responsible for overseeing the Fall and Winter half season Midget teams. Midgets are comprised of mostly high school students-the 2018-2019 program will be comprised of 2000-2003 birth year players. The fall season is comprised of 1 practice per week and a 15-18 game Valley schedule that runs from early September through late November when High School season starts. Many kids use Fall Midgets as a prep for the HS season (if they are not playing for pay programs). The Winter season is game only and that Valley schedule runs from Early December through March. The winter teams are comprised of kids not playing on the HS teams and players on the JV team using midgets as supplemental ice time.

During the 2016-2017 season, we fielded 1 team in each of the Fall and Winter seasons. In 2017-2018, we tried to field to a Fall team but only had 9 skaters and a goalie which was not enough so we converted the practice sessions to a once a week scrimmage. We also did not get enough interest to field a Winter team.

The Primary responsibilities include recruiting coaches and generating interest amongst the Midget age kids to field a team. Paul Missert who has been our midget coach the past 3 seasons is willing to come back so the primary focus should be drumming up interest to revive the program after we did not field a team during 2017-2018. The job is pretty straight forward and should be considered relatively light lifting compared to the other level director positions (no try outs and Paul Missert/or another coach can be pretty self sufficient).
Equipment Director 2 years RYH Equipment Manager- Responsible for ordering and dispersing uniforms and team equipment. Busy time is April, August-October. I will mentor anyone interested through the dispersing of uniforms this coming fall.
